The woven 32-plait polyester sheathing of 8-Plaited-Dinghy provides UV and abrasion protection, and the polyester core keeps the rope compact and dimensionally stable.
Use 5/32" for windsurfing downhaul and outhaul, dinghy control lines.
Use 3/16 for windsurfing boom inhaul, dinghy halyards.
