Keeps your boat on it's side in the event of a capsize and helps to prevent turtling. Displaces 32 pounds of water. The Hobie mast float will give you the time you need when preparing to right the boat without the worry of going turtle. It also helps to prevent damage to your rig and sails if they happen to touch bottom when capsized. This masthead mounted float is held in alignment with the mast for minimum drag while sailing and is easily removed for trailering or racing.
Standard on the Hobie Wave. Can be fitted to Hobie 14 or Hobie 16 with the included mounting hardware kit.
Includes mounting kit with hardware and instructions. Requires drilling and tapping on older all-aluminum hobie masts.
This float can also be fitted to other small sailboats such as Hunter 140s, JY15s, etc. (see picture)
